MY STORY

1. WHERE I STARTED

"When I was 3 years old my parents wanted me to learn to skate and signed me up for lessons. Once I hit the ice they couldn't get me off. I have been skating and playing hockey ever since."

2. CHALLENGES I'VE FACED

"A challenge I have faced is learning how to trust the process. I may not have always made the team I was hoping for or got the play time I thought I should have. This has made me mentally stronger. I learned there is more than one path to where I want to be and adversity pushes me to be stronger."

3. WHAT DRIVES ME

"I am driven to be the best version of myself. When things get hard it only motivates me to work harder. I show up each day, put in the work and excel to my best ability."

4. WHERE I'M HEADED

"My long term goal is to play the highest level of hockey possible. My short term goal is to get stronger and faster on and off the ice. I want to be a leader on my team by putting in the work. I also want to get exposure to Junior and NCAA programs."

5. GOOD TO KNOW

"I am a team player and a student of the game. I am coachable and dedicated to learning from others to be the best goalie I can be. I love to be challenged and reach goals."

TESTIMONIALS

"Lucas is one of those kids who was just born to be a goalie. His passion for the position is evident in the unmatched drive and determination he possesses. The work ethic, coach-ability, and compete factor are always there with Lucas. He is a role model to his teammates. There is of course so much more that makes Lucas who he is - but being a goalie is something he takes great pride in."
— Bjorn Hawes, Goalie Coach
"Lucas possesses many high quality traits, however there are three core attributes of Lucas that are his strength and what make Lucas stand out above the crowd. Lucas has a team first attitude. He has always shown so much joy being part of a team and values the friendships he has made through hockey. As the goalie on the team, he never blames his teammates and usually is too hard on himself. Lucas's unselfish, caring heart is so contagious and refreshing, it is his first quality that makes him unique. Lucas is a hard-worker. Whether on the ice or off the ice, Lucas works hard at whatever he does. He has the determination to complete a task to the end, gives attention to the details of how he does something, and does his best to improve. Ultimately, Lucas's work ethic to improve inspires others to their best too, and it is his second quality that makes him very special. Lucas is reflective. I have always been impressed with how Lucas analyzes his performance and examines ways to improve his skills as a goaltender. His open-mindedness allows him to be very coachable and apply instruction to keep improving. Lucas's willingness to be self-reflective enables him to strive for excellence and is just another attribute of Lucas that makes him one of a kind."
— Benjamin J. Butters, Former Coach
"Lucas embodies everything you want in a young goaltender—natural talent, exceptional work ethic, and outstanding character. What really sets Lucas apart is his mental approach to the game. The combination of his physical tools, mental toughness, and championship experience with Team Minnesota shows he can perform at the highest levels. Lucas has the foundation to continue developing into an elite goaltender."
